Context

What this means for procurement and projects

Derived from the items above — not a forecast.

Demand for grid connections, substations and cables is growing in western Macedonia, Thessaly and central Macedonia, where the report sees the largest remaining capacity.

The recovery lowers connection costs for developers and may accelerate grid connection works at substations and lines.

A storage site of this size creates demand for containers, transformers, medium- and high-voltage cables and grid connection services; the district still has to approve the plan.

This creates demand for desalination units, pipe rehabilitation and water reuse plants for Cypriot agriculture.

The expansion brings demand for pipes, compressors and construction services along the Greece–Balkans–Central Europe axis.
