Context

What this means for procurement and projects

Derived from the items above — not a forecast.

With an estimated investment volume of about €2 billion, there is demand for storage equipment, grid connections and financing, especially among smaller developers expected to fund around 40% from own resources.

Political backing from the EU, France and the US supports continuation of the project and thus future demand for cables, converter technology and grid connection in Cyprus.

The re-award creates demand in Cyprus for construction, piping and plant engineering as well as subcontractors for the bidding consortia.

A contract of this scale creates demand at the Emet site for earthmoving equipment, haulage, spare parts and maintenance – openings for suppliers and subcontractors.
