Context

What this means for procurement and projects

Derived from the items above — not a forecast.

Battery projects in Greece come with their own substations and high-voltage cables, and the Florina project is the next one under way.

There is a large build-out gap between 600–700 MW today and up to 7 GW by 2030; the cap necessarily spreads it across many operators and therefore many separate projects, each with its own grid connection.

Another manufacturer is entering high-voltage cable production, which grid projects need; buyers may gain a wider set of potential suppliers.

The parliamentary review of the state boron companies may bring up investment and sales plans; buyers of borates may want to follow the outcome.
